So, the director of the research institute where I work just got some voice-capture software. He speaks into the mic, and little words appear on the screen. Cool.
However, the software programmer was evidently unfamiliar with the special vocabulary of plant biochemists. One of the first tries turned “Arabidopsis” (Arabidopsis thaliana, a common research plant) into “a rabid dog’s ass.”
That’s just too good to make up.
Oh man, that is HILARIOUS!
I have the same software, but I have the opposite problem. Everytime I say “a rabid dog’s ass” it keeps on typing Arabidopsis thaliana.
