Just like mama and daddy.

First she wanted to nurse her baby doll.

Nursing her baby.

Then she wanted to take baby for a walk on her shoulders.

Holding baby on her shoulders.

It was a good reminder that she is always watching, always listening, always wanting to be like us.

  1. I had a phrase that I used with Lea Hanna and then later with Mary Willis — “We are always a teacher.” If LH did something inappropriate, she was teaching MW to do the same. Then they learned that about their friends too — whatever behavior we expected from our friends at our home we needed to model. Good lessons for children and parents. Especially now that they are grown and I can see that they are truly the product of their upbringing in good and bad ways. Always teaching! Always Learning!
