Hello, and welcome to my little blog!
My name is Paula Gibbs (aka Paulabirdy). I live in Moscow, Idaho, with my husband and dog in a nifty old turn-of-the-century apartment building. I work all day in an office at a local university and spend my lunchbreaks, evenings, and weekends trying to be as artsy + craftsy as possible. This blog is mostly about my art + craft endeavors with some photography and random notes from the office thrown in for good measure.
I appreciate any and every comment left here and respond to most of them, unless a response doesn’t seem to be needed.
Thanks for stopping by. :)

I am in the process of setting up shop over on Etsy, and my grand opening will be on Friday, October 12. Please stop by paulabirdy.etsy.com after that date to see my new prints and notecards!

I came across your blog when searching for pillowcase dresses. I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your creations and your photos. You are so creative, I love it! What camera do you use? Beautiful cards!
and she’s cute, too.
Hi Paula!
I finally made it to your blog, and it promises to become one I’ll check regularly. I like your illustration work, and the design of your business cards is both cute and polished. :)

I lost your email address, so here’s the link to my craigslist ad!

I came across your blog looking for “sparrow stamps”. I fell in love with the cute little sparrow that you stamped on note cards. I am crafting some little girl dresses (somewhat of a hobby/side business) and have decided on the name chestnut sparrow. I am looking for a sparrow to use for my graphics to stamp on hang tags and use on signs etc. I did not want to use your cute graphic without permission. I am willing to pay for a stamp or for graphics. Please let me know your thoughts. Your work is beautiful!
Hi Paula – I’m an Anglican vicar of some small rural churhes in the English Lake District. I spotted your wonderful stippled black and white picture of an oak leaf and acorn in your Oct 2007 archive. It would be perfect as a cover picture for our October news letter/parish magazine as we begin autumn here. This is given out to all in the parishes free as a service to the community. Would it possible for us to use this from your site?
Blessings – Pete
HI PAULA – I’M NOT SURE IF YOU REMEMBER ME – I’M YOUR HUBBY’S AUNT (BRIAN’S SISTER). I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT YOUR WEB SITE, GETTING THE SCOOP ON THE PREGNANCY, ETC. I LOOKED TODAY AT THE GUMDROP PILLOWS AND WILL DEFINITELY PUT THEM ON MY LIST OF “TO DO’S” – VERY CUTE AND WILL EAT UP SOME OF MY VERY LARGE STASH OF FABRIC. I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR BABY GIFTS AND/OR HAVE A “THEME” (YOU SEEMS LIKE A THEME PERSON!). WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN A COUPLE OF CROCHET OR KNIT (CAN’T REMEMBER) SMALL BABY BLANKETS THAT WERE GIFTS FROM JOSH’S GRANDMOTHER (MY MOM) WHEN I HAD MY FIRST BABY (14 YEARS AGO). ONE IS YELLOW AND ONE IS A SOFT ORANGE. NEITHER ARE REAL BIG – MAYBE ABOUT 36″ X 40″. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HAVING THEM (MADE BY YOUR BABY’S GREAT GRANDMOTHER), LET ME KNOW.
GLAD TO HEAR ALL IS GOING WELL. I’D LOVE TO SEE MORE PICTURES OF YOU AND JOSH. TAKE CARE. DAWN
Hi! I saw your blog when searching for pillowcase purses. Thought I’d drop a line and say hi. I just love little blogs like yours. Keep up the good work!
It’s been a while since I’ve been here. Your photos have gotten fantastic. Do you constantly use daylight-balanced light bulbs in your house, or does your camera just have super magic white balance? The coloring is fantastic.
